The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is now publishing all state directed payment (SDP) preprints on its website. All SDP preprints approved on or after Feb. 3, 2023, can be found on the Approved State Directed Payment Preprints page and are searchable by state, payment type, provider class, approval period, review type, approval date, and state rate period.
CMS also has provided the preprint addendum tables in Excel workbook format to help streamline the process and standardize data provided by states in the preprints.
America’s Essential Hospitals has advocated for public access to the preprints for clarity and guidance in SDP design and implementation.
