CMS Launches New Medicaid, CHIP Renewal Webpage

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) launched a new webpage to help Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) beneficiaries renew their coverage or apply for coverage through the health insurance marketplaces if they no longer qualify.

The webpage instructs beneficiaries who remain eligible for Medicaid and CHIP to update their contact information, check their mail, and complete the renewal form they receive. The website also links to state and territory Medicaid enrollment websites and phone numbers.

Additionally, the webpage directs consumers who no longer qualify for Medicaid or CHIP to marketplace plans, discusses covered services, and advises consumers that most enrollees can find insurance plans that cost less than $10 a month.
