The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will host a live demonstration webinar on Wednesday, Dec. 20 at noon ET on the upcoming transition to the QualityNet Secure Portal (QNet) for hospitals participating in the Medicare and Medicaid Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Programs.
Beginning Jan. 2, 2018, eligible hospitals and critical access hospitals are required to use QNet to submit their calendar year (CY) 2017 attestations for participation in the Medicare EHR Incentive Program. The deadline for attestation for CY 2017 is Feb. 28, 2018. QNet replaces the existing attestation process through the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Program Registration and Attestation System.
Hospitals participating in both the Medicaid and Medicare EHR Incentive Programs should submit their attestations in QNet and must also maintain active registration status in the existing Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Program Registration and Attestation System. Hospitals attesting to only the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program should submit their data to their state Medicaid agency.
The webinar will review the process for registering, attesting, and submitting measures on QNet. CMS also released a transition fact sheet and a QNet enrollment and login user guide for eligible hospitals.
