The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will host a live question-and-answer session on the upcoming transition to the QualityNet Secure Portal (QNet) for hospitals participating in the Medicare Electronic Health Record (EHR) Incentive Program.
The session will take place Feb. 8 at noon ET. Attendees can submit questions to CMS before the session via email to CMSQualityTeam@ketchum.com using the subject line “Questions and Answers Session.”
Beginning Jan. 2, 2018, eligible hospitals and critical access hospitals were required to use QNet to submit calendar year (CY) 2017 attestations for participation in the Medicare EHR Incentive Program. The deadline for attestation for CY 2017 is Feb. 28. QNet replaces the existing attestation process through the Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Program Registration and Attestation System.
Hospitals participating in both the Medicaid and Medicare EHR Incentive Programs should submit their attestations in QNet and also must maintain active registration status in the existing Medicare and Medicaid EHR Incentive Program Registration and Attestation System. Hospitals attesting to only the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program should submit their data to their state Medicaid agency.
