The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will host an information session and a series of webinars in the coming weeks to provide information on new opportunities for states within the Innovation Accelerator Program (IAP).
The IAP, created in 2014, aims to improve care for Medicaid beneficiaries and reduce costs by supporting states’ efforts in payment and delivery system reform.
An Jan. 16 information session will focus on a new technical support opportunity for states seeking to design value-based payment (VBP) strategies for home and community-based services. The session will take place 3:30 pm–4:30 pm ET.
CMS also will host four national learning webinars on:
- strategies to work with unique beneficiary identifications in Medicaid on Jan. 25 from 3–4 pm ET;
- a new technical support opportunity through the reducing substance use disorders program area on Jan. 29 from 1–2 pm ET;
- determining performance benchmarks in a Medicaid VBP program on Jan. 31 from 2–3:30 pm ET; and
- Medicaid strategies to promote provider capacity for physical and mental health integration on Feb. 6 from 3–4:30 pm ET.
