The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on June 4 issued $80 million in grant funding for navigators in states using the federal insurance marketplace for the 2022 plan year.
Navigators are trained individuals who help consumers review their health coverage options and complete eligibility and enrollment forms. New in the application this year is an emphasis on outreach and enrollment efforts to underserved populations.
