The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released an Application Program Interface (API) to reduce the burden of the Quality Payment Program (QPP) on clinicians.
The newly released API allows developers to write software and build applications for clinicians and their practices. The API makes it easier for other organizations to retrieve and maintain QPP measures using the Explore Measures section of the QPP website.
CMS announced that this will be the first in a series of efforts to encourage the creation of innovative, customizable tools to reduce administrative burden for clinicians while supporting high-quality care for patients.
America’s Essential Hospitals will hold a webinar on the QPP on Nov. 28. Further, members can find new and updated information on the association’s QPP resource page.
