CMCS Releases Medicaid, CHIP Enrollment Fact Sheets

The Center for Medicaid & CHIP Services (CMCS) released a set of fact sheets to assist hospitals and other organizations in their community outreach and enrollment efforts. These fact sheets cover the basics of Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) benefits, enrollment eligibility, and enrollment processes. CMCS recommends that organizations make these materials available wherever they encounter families and individuals who may be eligible for Medicaid and CHIP but may not be enrolled. Fact sheets are available for both Medicaid expansion and non-expansion states, in both English and Spanish, and can be customized with organizational information and logos.

Medicaid and CHIP enrollment is year-round and not subject to an open enrollment period. Please contact Xiaoyi Huang, JD, director of policy, at xhuang@essentialhospitals.org or 202.585.0127 with questions.
