CDC to Host Training on Health Care Personnel Influenza Vaccination Reporting

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will host a refresher training session on 2013-2014 health care personnel influenza vaccination reporting for hospitals participating in the hospital inpatient quality reporting (IQR) program. The refresher training is for staff members involved in reporting health care personnel influenza vaccination summary data to the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) system to fulfill IQR program requirements. The training will cover the following:

  • reporting requirements for influenza vaccination summary data
  • changes for the 2013-2014 influenza season
  • case studies that illustrate how to classify health care personnel into the correct numerator and denominator categories

The refresher training includes a pre-recorded session available online and a live question and answer session Aug. 20 from 1:30–2:30 pm EDT. Pre-registration is required.
