Representatives from America’s Essential Hospitals met with the White House Office of Management and Budget (OMB) last week to discuss forthcoming new regulations affecting the 340B Drug Pricing Program. Association staff discussed the several key issues for essential hospitals including hospital eligibility in 340B, the definition of a patient at 340B-eligible hospitals, and contract pharmacies. The draft rule was transmitted to OMB in April and is widely expected to be released in June.
