340B Recertification Period Begins Oct. 24

The annual 340B Drug Pricing Program recertification period for hospitals begins Oct. 24. Hospitals will have until Nov. 21 to complete the process.

Hospitals must complete their recertification through the new Office of Pharmacy Affairs Information System (OPAIS). Before recertifying, authorizing officials and primary contacts must create their own OPAIS accounts. Covered entities that fail to create OPAIS accounts and conduct recertification will be removed from the 340B program.

OPA will host an Oct. 19 webinar on the recertification process from 12 pm ET.

A user guide, webinars, and other educational resources are published on the OPA website. Questions regarding recertification should be directed to apexusanswers@340bpvp.com or 888.340.2787.

Contact Director of Policy Erin O’Malley at eomalley@essentialhospitals.org or 202.585.0127 with additional questions.
