A key House committee held a June 12 markup to unanimously approve 13 health care bills.
The House Committee on Energy and Commerce took up issues spanning from telehealth to Medicare and Medicaid fraud prevention, among others. Health Subcommittee Chair Brett Guthrie (R-Ky.) applauded the committee for its bipartisan work on the health care bills under consideration. He noted that the markup would not consider more comprehensive telehealth bills, instead focusing on H.R. 7858, the Telehealth Enhancement for Mental Health Act of 2024.
