With Congress on recess until after the General Election and Capitol Hill generally quiet, America’s Essential Hospitals and its member advocates turned to preparations for an expected busy post-election session that could touch on health care issues important to hospitals.
Last week, vice presidential candidates Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) and Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio) faced off in their only debate of the cycle. They had a relatively cordial exchange that mostly heated up when commenting on each other’s presidential running mates. The debate predictably touched on health care issues related to drug prices, reproductive rights, and the Affordable Care Act.
