Obesity Treatment Programs in Essential Hospitals

(April 2008) This monograph presents findings from the 2007 Essential Hospitals Institute study on obesity treatment in public hospitals. Funded by Morrison Healthcare Food Services, the study included a survey of America’s Essential Hospitals members to ascertain the range and characteristics of public hospital obesity treatment programs. This monograph offers analyses of collected data (sample size: 69 obesity programs at 41 member facilities), as well as in-depth case studies of quantitatively successful programs at five safety-net hospitals. Click Here For Article
