America’s Essential Hospitals
WASHINGTON – “America’s Essential Hospitals thanks the Trump administration for withdrawing proposed 340B program omnibus guidance from Office of Management and Budget review.
“This welcome development follows strong advocacy by essential hospitals, which vigorously opposed this so-called “mega-guidance” for its dramatic narrowing of eligibility for affordable drugs. Today’s decision preserves the 340B program’s valuable benefits to low-income and other disadvantaged people, and the hospitals on which they depend.
“We look forward to continuing a conversation on ways to strengthen the 340B program that ensure program integrity while meeting the needs of vulnerable patients and communities.”
