America’s Essential Hospitals
WASHINGTON – The American Hospital Association’s good stewardship principles for the 340B Drug Pricing Program demonstrate and affirm the hospital community’s commitment to accountability and transparency for this vital program.
We welcome these principles. Essential hospitals regularly do their part to protect and sustain the 340B program, and these principles provide a reasonable framework all hospitals can use to ensure program savings continue to benefit vulnerable patients and underserved communities.
Essential hospitals remain committed to program integrity, and we again call on policymakers to level the playing field by holding drug manufacturers to the same rigorous standards of accountability our members routinely meet.
