America’s Essential Hospitals
WASHINGTON—Essential hospitals, which have served as the first line of defense against COVID-19 since the pandemic’s earliest days, thank Congress and the Biden administration for making timely investments in the American Rescue Plan Act for vaccine distribution, Medicaid funding, health care coverage, and extended financial relief from this public health emergency.
While we welcome this support, we also stress that the fight against COVID-19 continues and that our hospitals need more. They face persistent financial and resource challenges, and we will continue to work with Congress to secure appropriate and timely support for essential hospitals in future legislation.
