Essential Hospitals Institute, the research and quality arm of America’s Essential Hospitals, today unveiled a redesigned website to showcase its work in health equity, population health, and other key areas of focus for hospitals that serve vulnerable people.
The site features enhanced navigation and new and updated content that aligns the site with the Institute’s latest projects and priorities.
The Institute’s new homepage guides users to content in six key topic areas and further allows visitors to sort content by document type — for example, research publications or articles about performance improvement in member hospitals. The site also features:
- the Institute’s funders and research partners;
- leadership development programs, including the Fellows Program and Essential Women’s Leadership Academy; and
- key Institute resources, such as the association’s annual member snapshot, 2014 Essential Data.
Institute Director David Engler, PhD, who also serves as senior vice president of leadership and innovation for America’s Essential Hospitals, said the new site displays the Institute’s growing portfolio and reflects the support of prominent funders, including Kaiser Permanente’s Community Benefit and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
“Our new site serves not only as an important resource and showcase for our member hospitals, but also as a platform to disseminate knowledge across all of health care,” Engler said. “By improving access and outcomes for the most vulnerable and sharing those lessons, we can elevate care for all people.”
