FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WASHINGTON — America’s Essential Hospitals announced Sept. 1 the association will require staff and office guests be vaccinated against COVID-19.
All employees must be fully vaccinated as a condition of employment. Additionally, office guests must show proof of vaccination upon arrival. Considerations may be made for valid exemptions, such as reasonable accommodations due to a disability or religious reasons.
“As a health care organization committed to public health and equity, we strongly believe that mandating vaccination is the right thing to do to safeguard the health of our staff, their families, and the community at large,” says Bruce Siegel, MD, MPH, president and CEO of America’s Essential Hospitals.
