America’s Essential Hospitals Fills Open Board Seats

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WASHINGTON — America’s Essential Hospitals has appointed two essential hospital leaders from among its membership to fill at-large vacancies on the association’s board of directors. The board made the appointments at its December 2019 meeting.

The new directors are:

  • Florence Spyrow, JD, MHA, MPA, MSN, who has served as president and CEO of Northern Arizona Healthcare, in Flagstaff, Ariz., since 2018. She joined the health system as chief administrative officer in 2015, after holding leadership roles at Healthtech Management Services, Genesis Health System, and Trinity Regional Health System. A fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Spyrow has a rich background in nursing and law.
  • Joseph Webb, DSc, MSHA, who has served since 2015 as CEO of longtime association member Nashville General Hospital at Meharry. He previously served as chief operating officer at Common Table Health Alliance, a nonprofit regional health and health care improvement collaborative, in Memphis, Tenn., and held leadership roles at Methodist LeBonheur Healthcare and Northwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center. A fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Webb is board certified in Healthcare Management.
