Patient-Centered Care
Working collaboratively with patients and their families is a critical piece of high-quality health care, especially in settings that serve the most vulnerable. Essential Hospitals Institute works to best understand all of the components of superior patient-centered care and support members of America’s Essential Hospitals as they implement such practices.
Likewise, the Institute also works to promote patient-centered outcomes research (PCOR), both through internal research practices as well as dissemination of PCOR methods to essential hospitals. This work has resulted in a collaborative relationship with the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) and other national patient advocacy groups.
Patient Experience Interest Group
America’s Essential Hospitals proudly announces a new shared learning benefit for leaders at our member hospitals working in patient experience and person-centered care. The in interest group will provide the opportunity for collaboration with like-minded professionals and access to valuable tools and resources for reference.
