Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb (R) renewed the state COVID-19 public health emergency for the 21st time due to an increase in COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations. The public health emergency now is set to expire Jan. 1, 2022.
Holcomb also released an executive order allowing out-of-state medical personnel to continue working in Indiana health facilities, expanding the types of health care workers who can administer vaccines, and ensuring eligible children can receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
Indiana’s executive orders do not limit hospital activity, such as elective procedures, and do not impose restrictions on businesses.
