FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
WASHINGTON — America’s Essential Hospitals champions equitable, high-quality health care for all people, and our members — including the University of California system (UC Health) — commit to serving vulnerable patients. Through partnerships with other providers, UC Health fills gaps in access to care and reaches more people who might otherwise fall through the cracks.
Prohibiting these partnerships would disproportionately harm people who most need the expanded access to care such arrangements provide. We believe the working group option to allow affiliations with appropriate controls will best support UC Health’s commitment to meeting the health care needs of all Californians.
