Sepsis affects more than one million people annually – and the number of cases is on the rise.
For Sepsis Awareness Month, in September, we continue our patient safety work that began as part of the Essential Hospitals Engagement Network (EHEN). During this webinar we explored how essential hospitals reduce sepsis and save lives through early detection, patient and family engagement, and evidence-based management.
We also heard from a mother and father on their story of the effects of sepsis on their family, and their journey to educate both patients and families on sepsis signs and symptoms.
