The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Innovation Accelerator Program (IAP) will host a national learning webinar to discuss overcoming administrative and regulatory barriers to physical and mental health integration in the Medicaid program.
Representatives from state Medicaid agencies in Arizona and New York will outline their efforts to develop administrative and reimbursement strategies to promote integration. Speakers include:
- Tom Betlach, medicaid director, Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System;
- Keith McCarthy, director, Bureau of Inspection and Certification, New York State Office of Mental Health;
- Trisha Shell-Guy, deputy counsel, New York State Office of Alcoholism & Substance Abuse Services; and
- Shaymaa Mousa, MD, MPH, fellow, Office of Primary Care and Health Systems Management, New York State Department of Health.
The webinar will take place March 26 from 1:30–3 pm ET. Interested participants should register in advance.
The IAP was created in 2014 to improve care for Medicaid beneficiaries and reduce costs by supporting state efforts in payment and delivery system reform.
