Please Submit Responses to Association Survey on Health Plan Exclusions

America’s Essential Hospitals is collecting responses to a July 12 survey on member exclusions from health plan networks that intend to participate in the health insurance exchanges. Survey results will help us plan our advocacy efforts and assist members with individual negotiations. The three survey questions are as follows:

1. Has any health plan with intent to participate in the health insurance exchange in your state indicated that it may exclude all or parts of your hospital or system from its network?
2. If yes, what, if any, strategies are you pursuing to negotiate with health plans?
3. If no, do you still have concerns about being excluded?
