Members of America’s Essential Hospitals enjoy access to Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) quality improvement education and the IHI Open School through tuition-only scholarships from the Kaiser Permanente National Community Benefit Endowment.
We encourage frontline staff, quality and safety professionals, nurses, physicians, medical and health professional students, leadership, and administrators to apply. A list of approved offerings is available here. Additional information on how to access complimentary IHI programming is available here. Please note these restrictions:
- All members may apply for any scholarship at any time during the year. However, scholarship funds are limited and awards are subject to availability of funds.
- Scholarship awards for IHI programming with safety net registration fees of more than $2,000 have annual per-hospital limits.
- Scholarship awards for IHI’s Annual National Forum on Quality Improvement in Health Care are limited to three recipients per hospital per year.
