Hospitals and other covered entities participating in the 340B Drug Pricing Program may be eligible for a refund for drugs purchased from Heritage Pharmaceuticals Inc. The pharmaceutical company recently determined that covered entities were charged incorrect rates between April 18, 2008 and Dec. 31, 2014. Heritage is currently accepting refund requests for products purchased during this time period, according to a notice by the Office of Pharmacy Affairs, which is part of the Health Resources and Services Administration. Refunds are available for products purchased directly from Heritage or through a wholesale distributor.
Affected covered entities must contact Damian Finio on or before Aug. 1, 2016 to initiate a refund request. Refund requests must include documentation of applicable purchases and proof of covered entity status.
